Welcome aboard 495RPD out of Scarsdale, NY
We look forward to partnering with you as we navigate your child’s flight path for a lifetime of healthy teeth!
The right flight crew
At Rivertowns Pediatric Dentistry, we work with our young patients and their parents as a team to create a dental home, a concept established by the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry. This includes comprehensive oral health care, assessment, treatment and emergency care plus the information, guidance and training necessary to ensure development of proper dental care practices at home.
We use digital x-ray because it exposes the patient to the lowest amount of radiation. We follow the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists’ radiation exposure guidelines and we use lead aprons to protect the patient’s thyroid, as well as other parts of the body.
Compassionate care for children with special healthcare needs
We specialize in caring for patients with special needs. We do many dental procedures for children with medical conditions such as autism, and for children who are fearful or medically compromised.
Our practice is a green and paperless office space. Our charting is electronic and we recycle any paper products that we do use. Much of our office furniture is made of recycled wood and our baseboards and chair guards are made of recycled rubber. In addition, our dental chairs face west, letting in the maximum amount of natural light and heat in the winter.
FROM PATIENT FAMILIES
Sees many children with special needs
Pediatric dentist of the century! Her #1 priority is the child. She sees many children with special needs in her practice and that is not always easy for a dentist to do. My son falls into this category. She has a good read of children in general and has always been able to make my son feel at ease so she can perform whatever is needed for him at each visit, including sealants and fluoride treatments.

Very Good Experience
My 13-year old son was impressed by the huge wall poster of the cockpit of a 747 (which Dr. Kohli's dad flew). Videos are playing overhead for smaller kids. They explain very well what they are going to do and what to expect, so that should take any fears away. Would recommend her to anyone.

Great experience overall, highly recommend
This place is great, the staff is super nice, helpful, and they seem like they genuinely want to get to know everyone. They always ask me about my family and how they're doing.

Great, personalized care
Dr. Kohli and her staff are not only knowledgeable and friendly but also thorough and genuinely interested in your child's overall health and well-being. The office décor is unique - an airplane theme, spacious and welcoming. I highly recommend a visit!

Explore Our Pediatric Dentist Practice
A trip to the dentist can be a pleasant air adventure, especially when your child can imagine himself/herself in the cockpit of a monster 747.
Scurrying down our runway, preparing for takeoff, surrounded by blue walls and airplane-shaped windows, the last thing your child is thinking about is cavities or fillings.
Our unique office design is a tribute to Dr. Kohli's dad, Captain Ravi Kohli, who was a commercial air pilot for Air India for 30 years. One of the planes he flew, Megh Malhaar, which translates to "music made by the clouds in the monsoon season," is the backdrop of one of the patient rooms. In others, the vinyl backdrops depict the routes that Captain Kohli flew and images of the Captain in the cockpit.
